What to expect from a clinical psychologist:
Therapy Setting: My office is in a suite of six offices on the fourth floor. My office itself will feel more like a living room than what one would expect from a doctor’s office. I hope you will feel comfortable and safe.
Therapy Duration: Individual sessions are typically 45 minutes long, but can be longer if needed. Sometimes when people travel from a long distance they see me for two sessions at a time.
Therapy Fee: $175-$200 per session
Payment Types: I accept checks and cash.
Insurance: I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I will provide statements to patients who want them so that they can submit them to their insurance carriers.
I believe that when a patient comes to see a therapist, they often ask these questions: “Will I feel safe, will I be heard without judgment and can this unknown person be trusted?” The therapeutic relationship is the most profound, protected, and valuable asset created between the psychologist and the patient. I am in awe of my patients’ courage and their ability to trust, so that the issues grappled with can be explored and understood, and that ultimately they can begin to heal and grow in ways that are both needed and desired.
